Cotton forms the foundation of the Nique wardrobe. We use high-quality cottons for their structure, strength and breathable finish, crafting garments designed for everyday wear and enduring comfort.

The Bedford Shirt

We use premium cottons across styles such as the Stanton Pant, Bedford Shirt, Lourdes Shirt and Elena Cardigan. Naturally strong, breathable and low-maintenance, cotton regulates temperature and softens beautifully with wear — offering everyday ease and long-term durability.

FABRICS WE USE

PURE COTTON TWILL

Used in our Stanton Pant, this pure cotton twill offers a softly structured finish that moves easily while retaining shape. Lightweight yet durable, it holds crisp lines and a clean silhouette — ideal for everyday wear or refined tailoring.

Care Tip: Cold gentle wash with similar colours. Line dry in shade and press while slightly damp to restore the twill’s structure and texture.

COTTON SHIRTING

Found in the Bedford and Lourdes shirts, our pure cotton shirting combines a clean, crisp hand with natural breathability. Designed for modern versatility, these fabrics are soft against the skin while maintaining a structured silhouette that transitions seamlessly from work to weekend.

Care Tip: Cold or cool wash. Line dry in shade and steam to refine the surface and maintain crispness.

COTTON–CASHMERE KNIT BLEND

Seen in our Elena Cardigan, this blend combines the breathability of cotton with a touch of cashmere for gentle warmth and elevated softness. Lightweight yet insulating, it offers a smooth surface, refined drape, and year-round versatility.

Care Tip: Cold hand wash or delicate cycle in a garment bag. Reshape while damp and dry flat. Avoid hanging or tumble drying to preserve the knit’s form.

TENCEL™–COTTON BLEND

Used in our Sora Suiting and Sculpture Pant, this signature blend merges the clean structure of cotton with the smooth drape of TENCEL™. It delivers a soft lustre, refined texture and exceptional comfort — a versatile fabric that elevates both suiting and everyday dressing.

Care Tip: Cold gentle wash. Line dry in shade. Steam or press on low heat to maintain its clean, tailored appearance.

GARMENT CARE

All Nique cotton garments are crafted to balance form and function. With mindful care, cotton retains its clean lines, surface integrity and soft hand feel — ensuring your pieces last for years to come.

  1. Air between wears to refresh fibres and reduce unnecessary washing.
  2. Spot clean with mild detergent and cool water as needed.
  3. Wash cold, gentle cycle with similar colours to maintain fibre strength.
  4. Line dry in shade to prevent fading and preserve structure.
  5. Steam or press lightly while damp to restore crispness.
