Leg Room To Spare

I’m usually a size 27 in jeans and sit between an AU 8 and 10. I used the brand’s size calculator, which recommended a 10, and I’m glad I went with that. These pants are very fitted at the waist, if you're between sizes, I’d recommend sizing up. I definitely couldn’t have gone smaller.

The cut is extremely wide leg, with the volume starting high up near the waistband due to the short pleats. This creates a slightly roomy effect around the crotch, which softens the tailored look I was hoping for. The pants are also quite long on me (I’m 165cm with a long torso/shorter legs), so I’ll need to have them taken up but that's not unusual.

The fabric feels more like pure cotton than a cotton/Tencel blend and it’s soft but lacks the fluid movement I expected. I had considered ordering the khaki pair as well but decided to wait and see how much wear I get out of these first.

Overall, they’re not exactly what I envisioned, but I like them enough to give them a try and see how they settle into my wardrobe.

Beautiful

Some how they have made the impossible possible: comfortable stylish trousers that fit feminine bodies and have useful pockets. I will buy more of this style for sure. Ps, the staff at the Fitzroy store are always a delight.

Production fault?

The stitching on the hem came apart after one wear. I also got the same pant in olive and it happened to those too. Nique did repair the hem for me however it took weeks, so it is tempting to repair them at my own cost despite it being a production fault issue. The pants are still flattering and the material is nice, so I will wear them after fixed

Effortless

These are so beautifully tailored, and just 'hang' in that most effortless way. The tencel is strong with a little swish, and the pleating is perfect. I was in between size 12-14, but chose the 14 for extra sway.
